WakeOnLan project

This is a script for backups to synology nas. Starts for backup purpose and reuse on other machines.

Getting started

  • enter the repo directory
  • execute ./makeinstall.sh with the user that should be used for the backups
    • this should install all required non-standard programms (wakeonlan, backintime)
    • copy the unit files and scripts
  • right now the profile with the backintime id 1 is used for backup.
    • an examplary config is in this repo in the file 'config'
  • correctly configure your backu profile
  • in the 'ls18-nas-backup.timer' file the backup default (daily) frequency is configured. Change if required
